Sustainable Produce

 

All practices on farm are grown with minimal intervention, reduced chemicals and promote benefits of seasonal growth in the mild climate of the Riverina region, Hay New South Wales.

 

Our procedures are aligned with food safety and quality standards, such as HARPS,  Mc Donalds Global GAP Food Safety & The National Standard for Organic & Biodynamic Produce, promoting health and environmental sustainability.

Iceberg Lettuce
 
Harvested late March.

Iceberg is a well known and the most commonly used lettuce variety. Our ability to produce this product of consistent high quality, has made our name in the market.

 

It has a mild flavour, crunchy texture and is firm to touch. Iceberg makes a good choice for salads, sandwiches and hamburgers. It is refreshing to eat, and is a great source of fiber, potassium, calcium, vitamin A & C, and iron.

Iceberg is planted in February, annually and takes up to 9 weeks to grow ready for harvest in April.

Cos (Romaine) Lettuce

Cos is a crunchy, sweet yet tangy, delicious lettuce with an elongated head and crisp stem and leaves. It is mostly comprised of water, is low in kilojoules and a good source of folate, antioxidents and dietary fibre.

Cos is often use in Caesar Salads, and works as a great alternative to milder flavoured iceberg lettuce.

Our harvest period is from April to November annually.

Organic Wombok (Chinese) Cabbage
 
Harvested through the months of April - September, annually.
Grey Pumpkin
 
Harvested early March.

Wombok, known as Chinese cabbage has a mild, sweet flavour, is oval shaped with pale green leaves and thick stems. It can be used in salads, steamed or stir fried.

Grey Pumpkins have a thick skin, and deep orange flesh. These pumpkins, like others contain a high level of beta-carotene and is converted into vitamin A by our bodies, to help prevent disease.
